The Birthday Party

María wanted to throw a special birthday party for her daughter Ana, who was about to turn 4. Ana loved princesses and dreamed of having a fairy-tale-like party. But María had a problem: she couldn't spend much money. She had a limited budget.

First, she thought about the princess dress for Ana. Instead of buying a new one, she decided to make the dress herself. María searched her house and found some pretty fabric she hadn't used. With a lot of love and patience, she sewed a beautiful dress for Ana. She added some shiny details and a big bow. When Ana saw the dress, she was very happy. "Thank you, Mom! It's the prettiest dress in the world!" Ana said.

Next, María thought about the party decorations. Instead of buying expensive decorations, she decided to make them herself. She used colored paper to make crowns and magic wands. She also made banners with cardboard and drew castles and stars to decorate the walls of their backyard.

For the food, María decided to prepare simple but delicious things. She made sandwiches shaped like stars and hearts. She made colorful gelatin and put fruits on pretty plates. Instead of buying a big and expensive cake, María made cupcakes and decorated them like little castles. Ana and her mom had a lot of fun decorating the cupcakes with frosting and candies.

María also thought about the games for the party. She prepared a treasure hunt with clues leading to small prizes. She also made a piñata in the shape of a crown using papier-mâché and cardboard. The children would have a lot of fun breaking the piñata and looking for the candies.

The day of the party arrived, and María was nervous but excited. Ana looked lovely in her princess dress. The guests started to arrive, and everyone was impressed with the decorations and the food. The children played, laughed, and enjoyed the treasure hunt and the piñata. Ana was very happy to have her friends and family at her party.

At the end of the day, María felt very satisfied. She had managed to create a beautiful and fun party without spending much money. Ana gave her a big hug and said, "Mom, it was the best birthday party! Thank you for everything." María smiled and thought that, with love and creativity, wonderful things can be done.
