The Deserted Island
Ramiro was a man who loved fishing. One day, he went out to sea in his small boat. He was very happy because the weather was good. However, suddenly, a storm began. The wind blew strongly, and the waves were very big. Ramiro tried to return to the coast, but the storm was too strong. His boat was pushed away, and Ramiro ended up lost at sea. After many hours, Ramiro saw a small island. He rowed with all his strength and finally reached the beach. He was tired but happy to be safe. However, he soon realized that he was alone on a deserted island. To survive, Ramiro did many things. First, he looked for water. He found a small river in the center of the island. Every day, Ramiro would go to the river to get water to drink. Then, he needed food. He started to fish using his net and built traps to catch crabs. He also found fruits like coconuts and bananas. Over time, Ramiro became an expert at finding food and water on the island. To protect himself from the rain and the sun, he built a hut with branches and large leaves. He worked very hard to make a comfortable place to sleep. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Ramiro made a daily routine: he fetched water, hunted for food, and took care of his hut. He learned to make fire with sticks and stones, which helped him cook his food and stay warm at night. Although he was alone, Ramiro never lost hope of being rescued. Every day, he looked at the sea, hoping to see a boat. He also built a large signal on the beach with stones that spelled out "HELP." After two years, a boat passed near the island. The sailors saw the "HELP" signal and approached the island. When they found Ramiro, he was very happy and grateful. They gave him food and fresh water. They also cut his hair, trimmed his beard, and gave him new clothes before taking him back home. Ramiro's family received him in disbelief. Everyone was impressed by his bravery and survival skills. Ramiro quickly reintegrated into society but will always remember the two years he spent on the island and how he managed to survive thanks to his ingenuity and determination.
